Peter Challan is vice president of Government Relations for Harris Corporation. He is responsible for the company?s relations with the U.S. Congress, the Executive Branch, and defense and aerospace industry representatives located in the Washington, D.C. area.
Prior to this, Challan was vice president of Washington Programs for Harris Government Communications Systems, with responsibility for program execution and the development of new business with civilian agencies of the U.S. government. Before joining Harris in 2005, he was senior vice president with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He served the FAA for 35 years in leadership positions on a variety of programs and initiatives, and received numerous awards including the FAA Distinguished Service Award.
Challan has a bachelor?s degree in civil engineering from City College of New York. He is a registered professional engineer and chairman elect of the Air Traffic Control Association. |
