Peter Burnim worked at Citibank/Citicorp for over 25 years where he served as a Senior Credit, Senior Securities and Senior Corporate Officer. He held positions of increasing responsibility including US Corporate Banking, European Corporate Finance, European Capital Markets and US Private Banking. After Citibank, Mr. Burnim served as Managing Director of Crown Capital Group, a private equity investment firm and formed Crown World Services, Ltd., with Bermuda Life Insurance Company Limited, serving as its Chairman. Crown offers a premiere offshore private placement variable life insurance service to high net worth families. Mr. Burnim then served as Executive Vice President of Northstar Companies, Inc., using insurance and reinsurance financial engineering to serve high net worth families. Northstar raised significant capital for a new Bermuda based life and annuity reinsurance company. Northstar Reinsurance Ltd was successfully launched in July 2004, with MetLife/RGA and DrKW, as its strategic partners. Mr. Burnim remains on the Advisory Board of CVC Capital Partners Europe, exclusive advisors and managers of Citicorp's Private Equity Investments in Europe, is a Director of Highland Financial Holdings’ hedge funds, and Sterling Centrecorp, Inc. (a TSX real estate development company). He was a Director of The Bank of Bermuda (NY)(prior to acquisition by HSBC), and to various Northstar, Crown and Citicorp companies. Mr. Burnim is an honors graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School. He also serves on several education, artistic, and religious not-for-profit Boards. |
