Peter Bichara is executive vice president and chief financial officer of UGS PLM Software (UGS), a division of Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D). UGS is a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services with 4.4 million licensed seats and 47,000 customers worldwide. Prior to his current role, Bichara was vice president of Mergers and Acquisitions for Siemens A&D, the world's leading manufacturer of automation and drives products. Bichara was responsible for leading the Mergers and Acquisition organization and directing A&D's acquisition, divestiture and strategic project programs. He was head of the UGS acquisition team of Siemens A&D.
Before Bichara came to Siemens, he held various positions at Bertelsmann including chief executive officer of one of Bertelsmann AG's Internet Joint Ventures and vice president of Strategy for the Bertelsmann Group. Bertelsmann is one of the world's largest media conglomerates, with subsidiaries that span broadcasting, media services, print, book publishing and the Internet.
Earlier in this career, Bichara worked for the Boston Consulting Group as a management consultant in the company's Düsseldorf, Germany and Los Angeles offices.
Bichara earned a Masters of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering at TU Berlin and a Masters of Business Administration at ESC-Toulouse, France.
Bichara currently resides in Nuremberg, Germany with his wife and three children. |
