Peter Reed Corbin focuses his practice on representing management clients in labor and employment law matters. He has been in private practice in the labor and employment law area for more than 32 years. During this time, he has handled numerous trials on various employment-related issues (jury and nonjury) in state and federal courts throughout much of the United States, and before various administrative agencies. He has also handled numerous traditional labor matters, including administrative proceedings before the NLRB, union elections, collective bargaining, arbitration proceedings, injunctions, and wage-hour matters. Peter is board certified as a specialist in Labor and Employment Law by the Florida Bar. He is a member of the Jacksonville, Federal and American Bar Associations. He is past president of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar and is a member of the ABA’s Committee on Development of the Law under the NLRA. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Section and a past member of the Executive Council of the Labor and Employment Section of The Florida Bar, and is a past Chairman of The Florida Bar Standing Committee on Fee Arbitration. He is also a member of the Labor Section of the State Bar of Georgia, and the Labor and Employment and Litigation Sections of the ABA. Additional memberships include: the Transportation Lawyers Association (past Co-Chair of the Labor and Human Relations Committee and past member of the TLA Executive Council), the North American Transportation Employee Relations Association (Member, NATERA Board of Directors and 2007 Vice Chair), and the First Coast Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (Member, Board of Directors and Chapter Labor Counsel). He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Florida Super Lawyers. Peter is a certified mediator in state and federal court. He is also AV® Peer-Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. While attending law school, he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and Survey Editor of the Mercer Law Review in 1974 and 1975.
