Mr. Olmsted was appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resources, with responsibility for General Cable’s North American operations in May 1998. He leads the Company’s Human Resource efforts in the areas of recruiting, compensation and benefits at the Company’s corporate headquarters, 21 North American manufacturing plants and its network of regional distribution centers.
Mr. Olmsted began his career in Human Resources with Frank B. Hall Company, Inc. in 1985. In 1987, he joined General Cable Corporation as Human Resources Supervisor. From 1989 to 1990, Mr. Olmsted served as Human Resource Manager at the Company’s former Plano, Texas manufacturing facility and then moved to the Company’s Carol Cable Division in Rhode Island where he held the position of Director of Human Resources. In 1992, Mr. Olmsted was promoted to Human Resource Manager at the Company’s corporate headquarters and in 1993, he assumed the position of Director of Human Resources for General Cable. From 1995 to 1998 he was Vice President of Human Resources for Formica Corporation.
Mr. Olmsted holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Pace University and a Masters of Business Administration from Xavier University. |
