Peter H. Seeberger, Ph.D., (B.S. Univ. Erlangen-Nürnberg, Ph.D. Univ. of Colorado, Postdoc Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center) worked at MIT (Assistant Professor (1998) and Firmenich Associate Professor with tenure (2002)) before assuming his current positions at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and Affiliate Professor at the Burnham Institute in La Jolla. Research in the area of carbohydrate synthesis, glycobiology and microreactors in chemistry has been documented in over 130 articles, thirteen patents and 270 invited lectures. Among other awards he received an ACS Arthur C. Cope Young Scholar Award (2003), the Otto-Klung Weberbank Prize for Chemistry (2004), the Award of the European Society of Combinatorial Sciences (2005). Prof. Seeberger serves as editor and editorial advisory boards, he is a founding member of the board of the Tesfa-Ilg "Hope for Africa" Foundation and serves as president of the Swiss Academy of Natural Sciences for 2006. Dr. Seeberger joined the Senomyx Scientific Advisory Board in June 2006. |
