Pete has a MS in Geology degree from the University of Idaho and has over 23 years of varied experience in exploration, mine permitting, development, compliance, and mine disturbance reclamation. He also has extensive minerals economic experience and has had reporting responsibilities in both Canada and the United States. He has been the President of Triumph Gold Corporation where he has been responsible for exploration, property acquisition, and compliance reporting in the North America, Africa, Asia, and South America.
Pete has been associated with the Thunder Mountain Mining District since 1993 as the leader of the USMX, Inc. team that conducted about $5.6 million worth of exploration work in the District. While working for USMX, Inc., he was responsible for property evaluations in the western U.S. and the geotechnical work on the Illinois Creek Gold Project, west-central Alaska. Prior to working for USMX, Inc., Pete worked for Tenneco Minerals as Chief Geologist and was responsible for regional exploration programs and mine development in the Goldstrike District in southwestern Utah. He also conducted regional reconnaissance programs in Nevada for Tenneco Minerals.
