Pete founded Orchestria and led the Company as CEO through July 2004, establishing its early customer wins and market leading position. Prior to Orchestria, Pete was Benchmark Capital's first European Entrepreneur in Residence. A well-known innovator in the data storage industry for over a decade, his broad career experience includes technology, product development, marketing, and senior management roles in companies ranging from start-ups to software giants.
Pete served as Senior Vice President of Business Management with Computer Associates International, Inc., and was responsible for the introduction of a number of important products including Neugents, the industry's first mass market neural network application, and SurviveIT, an advanced server replication and failover tool, before taking responsibility for the company's entire $400M storage business.
Before CA, Pete was Vice President of Engineering at Cheyenne Software, which was acquired by CA in 1997. Prior to joining Cheyenne, he founded and was CEO of IQ International, a UK-based technology start-up responsible for the open file techniques adopted in backup systems worldwide. IQ International was acquired by Cheyenne in 1996.
Pete is named as the sole inventor in well over 100 patent applications, which have been granted in more than 20 countries worldwide. |
