Pete Vrettakos Founder/Executive Chairman, Atlantic Industrial Pete Vrettakos is Founder, and Chief Executive Officer and Board Chairman of Atlantic Industrial. Mr. Vrettakos founded Atlantic Scaffolding in 1980 and incorporated Atlantic Plant Services in 2005. With over 30 years of experience in the scaffolding services business, he is responsible for the dynamic growth of the Atlantic companies. On a daily basis, Mr. Vrettakos oversees the operations of Atlantic and supports the motivation of employees by providing direction and leadership to achieve the desired goals and objectives. His forward-thinking approach is the basis for formulating policies and planning recommendations to the Board. Mr. Vrettakos started from the ground up as a scaffold builder for a small scaffold contracting company in Baltimore, quickly advancing to operations manager. During this period, he also attended the University of Baltimore to gain the law, accounting and finance knowledge needed to manage a business. As a result of his dedication and determination to create a world-class organization, Atlantic was established in 1980. Mr. Vrettakos has been active in the advancement of scaffold safety serving as Vice-President of the Scaffold Industry Association (SIA). He has been a member of SIA since 1980, served on the Board of Directors for seventeen years and is a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Vrettakos has also served on the Board of The James Rouse Entrepreneurial Fund. |
