Dr. Vellman is a recognized leader in emergency medicine and has worked throughout Colorado for more than 25 years. Dr. Vellman has served as Chief of Staff for the St. Anthony Hospital system, Colorado's largest healthcare system, President of the Colorado Trauma Institute, Chairman of the Foothills Regional Emergency and Trauma Area Council and was the on-air health advisor for KDVR Fox 31, Good Day Colorado television program. He has been the medical director for Flight For Life Colorado, the nation's first air ambulatory service and he serves as the medical director for over 50 EMS agencies throughout Colorado. Dr. Vellman also founded Western Emergency Physicians, a 24 emergency physician and 12 physician extender practice. Dr. Vellman received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Florida and a BS in biology from Florida State University. He is the cofounder and Chairman of the Board of Emergency Associates of Colorado (EAC), a company that provides management services to over 185 emergency physicians in 3 different states. |
