Pete Van Beek comes to Smart Drive with over 23 years of experience in the field of transportation safety. During his illustrious career, Pete has served as Director of Safety for Browning-Ferris Industries, Corporate Director of Safety & Training for Sanifill/USA Waste, and most recently, Corporate Vice President of Safety & Security for Coach USA, Inc. where he was responsible for the safety/ compliance efforts for a fleet of over 9,000 vehicles. Pete left Coach USA in 2003 and started Training Alternatives Group (TAG) to build quality commercial driver training programs. TAG wrote and produced America’s first terrorism prevention and security training programs specifically designed for the motorcoach and school bus industries. |
