Pete Shoemaker joined Global on October 1, 2002. He currently serves as our Executive Vice President - Strategy & Operations. At Global, Pete is helping us continue to be the most profitable operator in the industry as we resume our historic growth trend. For 13 years, he headed the largest office technology dealership in the country, before and after it was acquired by the predecessor of IKON Office Solutions where he worked with Global CEO Tom Johnson. He held a variety of senior management positions in the copier dealer industry over a 20-year period. He was chief operating officer of A-Copy, a Glastonbury, CT, dealership in 1983. He was made president and CEO in 1985, and led the dealership for a decade of double-digit compound annual growth in both revenues and earnings. He moved to the parent company senior management team in 1994 and became president of Business Services, North America in 1998. He earned a B.A. degree in economics from Rutgers University, and an M.B.A. with an accounting specialty from Rutgers Graduate School of Management. His peers have recognized him as a results-oriented industry leader and a developer of people. |
