Pete Alberse joined Burt's Bees in 2006 to lead our Customer Development group in ensuring that our products are available in all the right stores for our consumers. He also heads up coordinating the training seminars we conduct in stores and at events across the country.
Before joining us, Pete was the Vice President of Sales at L'Oreal's Matrix division. He considers his current position a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on an exciting and unique brand that can help people lead healthier lives. He also likes working in a place with strong principles that is "highly dedicated to doing the right thing for the brand and our consumers." Pete says, "It feels great to be contributing to helping people find truly natural solutions for their everyday needs. Plus, people really love Burt's Bees products and get very excited to learn everything they can about our products and the company in general."
Currently, Pete's group is working to create natural personal care and beauty sections in our customers' stores. He knows that consumers who are discovering the benefits of organic foods are also increasingly interested in natural personal care products. These consumers care as much about what ingredients are absorbed into their bodies through their skin as they are about what they actually ingest. Pete believes ensuring that retailers have well thought out natural personal care sections that help educate consumers about why natural is better will help more people both discover and understand the fantastic benefits of natural ingredients.
Pete holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration form James Madison University. He and his family love the outdoors, doing lots of hiking and mountain biking. Additionally, he is involved in youth league coaching and cheering and works with his church to help the less fortunate both here in the U.S. and abroad. |
