Perry Zukowski joined OfficeMax in June of 2006 as executive vice president of human resources. Mr. Zukowski provides leadership for the human resources associates and programs for all OfficeMax facilities and operations, domestic and international, and reports directly to the OfficeMax chief executive officer.
Mr. Zukowski began his corporate career as insurance analyst for Walgreen Company in 1981, and was promoted to insurance manager, responsible for design and management of insurance programs for the firm’s 20,000 employees. He joined Lane Industries, the parent company of General Binding Corporation, in 1986 as Director of Risk Management. Mr. Zukowski was promoted to Assistant Treasurer in 1993, and was responsible for the worldwide management of property/casualty insurance, as well as employee benefit programs for one of the largest private companies in the U.S.
In 1997, Mr. Zukowski was promoted to assistant vice president of General Binding Corporation, and was promoted again in 1998 to vice president of human resources. His responsibilities included the establishment and implementation of global human resources strategies for this $720 million office products manufacturer and distributor with 3,600 employees in 70 countries.
