Dr. H. R. Penton (Pent) founded Innovation Insights, LLC (II) in 2005. II provides consulting services, workshops and seminars to companies, non-profits and universities throughout the United States, Europe and Asia on product, business and market development, program management and identifying Wide-Moat-Uncontested-Market-SpaceTM for your organization's products and services. II customers include: bp, Dornier and Ineos. Pent has extensive experience in innovation management, and growing businesses through organic growth as well as through mergers and acquisitions. He has created and led organizations in developing new products and businesses in Europe, Asia and the United States, and has extensive experience in product and market development, reengineering organizations, successfully blending cultures in mergers and acquisitions and divesting non-core assets with AKZO, Ethyl Corporation, Albemarle Corporation, Amoco and BP.II partners with Value Innovations, Inc (Vi) as a value innovation subject matter expert, Pent leads sections of Vi’s Mastering Value Innovation Workshops and facilitates breakout sessions. Pent is currently: Vice-Chair of the Industrial Research Institute Emeriti Committee and an active member of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), the American Chemical Society (ACS) and SCORE. Pent has served on: The Board of Directors of Plaskon, LLC, an electronics specialty materials company; The Board of Directors of the Industrial Research Institute (IRI) and The Board of Trustees of the Institute of Textile Technology. Pent has a B.S. degree from Florida State University and a Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology and lives with his wife Cherri in Baton Rouge, LA. |
