Dr. Chen is a renowned expert and leader in the field of new media software technologies. Prior to starting BroadVision, he was Vice President of Multimedia Technology at Sybase, responsible for the Company's interactive initiatives. Dr. Chen founded and served as President of Gain Technology, a leading supplier of multimedia software tools. At Gain, he pioneered multimedia as an enabling technology for a new generation of business applications that engage end-users and consumers in a process of interaction and information exchange. Gain was acquired by Sybase, a leading supplier of database software, in 1992 for over $100 million. Before founding Gain, Dr. Chen was a project manager at Olivetti Research Center, in charge of multimedia and user interface development. |
