Current responsibility
Paulo oversees the Life insurance consulting practice of the Sao Paulo, Brazil, office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2003.
Experience
Paulo works primarily on assisting clients with solving many different technical/managerial issues in insurance companies, including regulatory, solvency, risk management, mergers and acquisitions and actuarial opinions. Paulo has extensive Brazilian market experience with management of diverse companies, including 10 years experience in the Brazilian life and pension business. Paulo has also worked in different countries including Japan, the U.S., and Argentina.
Prior to joining Milliman, Paulo had diversified experience covering areas of planning, finance, technical, operational, products, marketing, and technology, acting for many years as a senior manager in large companies in Brazil. He has also served as a board member for Brazilian companies.
Paulo has actively participated in the dissemination of the continuous process improvement and total quality management concepts and methods in Brazil.
Presentations and publications
Paulo is a frequent speaker on ALM in trade conferences.
He is also a lecturer in post graduate courses in areas of risk management and ALM.
