Paulo Costa is President and Chief Executive Officer of Novartis Corporation. In this position, which he assumed in October 2005, he is responsible for the Novartis Group Companies in North America and the Novartis US Foundation.
Previously Mr. Costa was President and Chief Executive Officer of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, Novartis' largest pharmaceutical business, and was responsible for the entire General Medicine business in North and Latin America. Under his leadership the pharmaceutical business achieved double-digit growth annually and gained substantial market share. |
