Paul has over thirty years of experience primarily in banking, asset management and investment banking. In 2004, Paul led the $30 million recapitalization of North Country Bank and Trust, subsequently renaming the bank Mackinac Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: MFNC) and the parent corporation of mBank. MFNC is a $375 million banking company with a business bank focus in Southeastern Michigan and a community bank focus in the Northern Lower Peninsula and Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Paul is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MFNC and has guided the management team of this formerly troubled bank to profitability. At this time, Paul’s primary responsibilities at Mackinac Partners are as an advisor to the firm. |
