Paul Esselman is Vice President in the Executive Search division of Cejka Search, a nationally recognized healthcare executive and physician search firm providing services exclusively to the healthcare industry for more than 25 years. Paul is responsible for managing all aspects of the search process, including candidate recruitment, interviewing and negotiations. In this role, Paul effectively merges his extensive management and healthcare expertise to successfully identify and evaluate the skills and competence of a healthcare executive. With over 16 years of healthcare experience, Paul has an exceptional understanding of the healthcare industry and has worked with executive leadership in hospitals and health systems, academic institutions, physician group practices, and managed care. He has managed profit and loss statements, operating budgets, multi-department strategic initiatives, and corporate restructuring. Paul employs successful recruitment strategies for building high-performing teams. He recognizes the critical leadership skills necessary for organizational success, the importance of clinical and financial outcomes, and the need for cultural fit. Prior to joining Cejka Search, Paul was vice president of sales for LipoScience, Inc., developer of new clinical applications of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. In that role, Paul worked closely with executives from prominent healthcare organizations such as the National Institutes of Health, the Mayo Clinic, Northwestern Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins, Columbia and Duke Universities.
