Mr. Burke, who has been a director of the Company since its inception, is the President of Issues Management Group, Inc.,a public relations and governmental affairs consulting company. Mr. Burke served as a member of the Kansas State Senate from 1975 to January 1997 and served as the President of the Senate from 1989 until his retirement in 1997. During his tenure in the Kansas Senate, Mr. Burke served as Chairman of the Organization, Calendar and Rules, Legislative Coordinating Council and Interstate Cooperation Committees. Mr. Burke was a majority leader of the Senate from 1985 to 1988. Mr. Burke has served in numerous national, state and local leadership positions including past positions as a member of the President's Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations. He is also the former owner of WEBBCO, Inc., an industrial engineering and equipment company. Mr. Burke received his Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Kansas in 1956. |
