Since 1987 Paul has been involved with various aspects of creating cities and neighborhoods. For five years, he inspected and managed public infrastructure construction projects. During this time, he earned a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. Paul worked for five years designing public infrastructure systems, earning his professional engineering registration in the state of Minnesota. He then spent seven years acting as a consultant city engineer for various cities in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Through this experience, Paul learned the complexities associated with the political process as well as planning and financing the growth of a community. In 2002, he joined Laurent Development Company LLC as project manager, overseeing all consultant and construction activities. Since 2003, he has held the position of vice president of development of Laurent Development Company LLC, managing all development activities.
Paul was actively involved in Toastmasters, an international public speaking organization, for eight years. He served as president of his club and advanced to the area and district levels in public speaking contests. Paul is a current member of the Sensible Land Use Coalition.
Paul resides in Chaska, Minnesota with his wife, Tina. He is the proud father of three daughters. He has a variety of interests, including traveling/exploring, reading/learning, thrill-seeking, and spending quality time at his family’s cabin. |
