Experience:
Paul Meyer is a partner in Mayer Brown’s real estate group and is the head of the Chicago real estate practice and one of the co-chairs of the real estate group’s Latin America practice. In his more than 20 years of practice, Paul has obtained substantial experience in virtually every aspect of the real estate industry. Paul’s widely diversified practice includes the representation of real estate investors and developers in all types of domestic and international real estate transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions and financing involving shopping centers, industrial parks, office buildings, apartment complexes, condominiums, medical office buildings and assisted living facilities. In recent years his practice has focused on the representation of clients providing equity capital for US and Latin American real estate transactions as well as equity for US healthcare related transactions. Paul’s clients include opportunity funds, investment advisors, public and private pension funds and real estate investment trusts. Representative clients include Starwood Capital, The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Lillibridge Healthcare Properties Trust and Strategic Capital Solutions.
