Paul Chronis is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP resident in the Firm’s Chicago office. He is a member of the Firm’s Trial Department where he focuses on complex commercial litigation, transactions and business counseling. He litigates, manages, and coordinates the defense of national class actions and mass actions cases and administers associated crisis management and public relations projects. He also has extensive experience negotiating and litigating insurance coverage, business tort, breach of contract, RICO, construction, securities, license, franchise and intellectual property claims. Paul has substantial experience in all types of alternative dispute resolution techniques, and has prosecuted and defended numerous arbitrations, and served as an arbitrator for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program. He also has extensive experience in both federal and state district court actions and appellate proceedings, including recent victories before the Illinois Supreme Court concerning an Illinois agency’s subpoena and investigative authority, and the Wyoming Supreme Court on a theft of trade secrets issue.
Paul is a member of the Illinois bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the trial bar for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Paul is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
