Mr. Jones chairs the firm's Complex Business, Bankruptcy and Utility Litigation practice group. His comprehensive practice is concentrated on matters involving bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and business litigation, including litigation involving indenture trustees, arbitration and corporation/partnership matters. He also has experience handling trusts and estates and successions litigation.Among his clients are major oil companies, whom he counsels concerning their rights under mineral leases and operating agreements during bankruptcy cases. Mr. Jones also has specific experience dealing with casinos in bankruptcy. He represented the indenture trustee in the bankruptcy of a land-based casino and a disbursement agent in another casino bankruptcy.He brings a wealth of international experience to his practice of law. Mr. Jones received several law degrees from Cambridge University in England, studied at The Hague Academy of International Law and was a lecturer-in-law at the University of Singapore. Prior to his international studies, he was on the 1975 staff counsel of the Presidential Clemency Board in Washington D.C.Recognized by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America for his achievements, Mr. Jones is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and INSOL International. |
