Paul B. Olmsted is Vice President, Corporate Development of IAMGOLD Corporation. He is a graduate of Queen’s University with a B.Sc. in mining engineering and an MBA. In 1984, he joined Goldfields of South Africa where he spent four years at various South African underground deep level gold mining operations holding both operational and planning positions. He completed his MBA in 1991 and subsequently joined the Bank of Nova Scotia’s corporate lending group specializing in mining finance. He actively participated in the evaluation, structuring and negotiation of debt financing transactions with a total value in excess of $1 billion.
Paul joined Repadre Capital Corporation in 1996 and in 1999 was appointed Vice President, Corporate Development. He has been instrumental in the evaluation and technical evaluation, financial analysis and structuring for the significant corporate transactions undertaken during his tenure. |
