Patrick Walker joined Prime Factors in Eugene, OR in 1991 to work for the founder of the company, Mike Schwartz. Mr. Walker's responsibilities have included market research, product specifications, sales support, office administration, as well as the management of software engineering, quality assurance, technical writing, and technical support through the years. More» He worked under different corporate ownership (Premenos, Harbinger and Peregrine) from 1996 to 2002 before settling into the current ownership structure in March 2002. He enjoys working with the diverse team of talented people at Prime Factors. Through the years, Mr. Walker participated in creating ANSI X12 security standards as eCommerce cryptography was defined, and he has helped define requirements for Prime Factors products to meet ANSI X9 financial security standards. Mr. Walker moved into data processing after attending the Honeywell Institute in Burlington, MA and had early programming experience at companies such as Aetna Insurance, Citizens Bank, and Exxon. He then held consulting positions at New York Telephone and Winter Park Telephone before holding several management positions over a period of ten years at Pacific Telecom in Vancouver, WA. Mr. Walker served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force at a laser research lab and was honorably discharged with a rank of Captain. He received a bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Illinois and attended graduate school for one year at the University of California at San Diego. |
