McVeigh has over 25 years of senior management experience in the telecommunications, personal computing, and software industries. Prior to joining SoonR, McVeigh was the CEO of PalmSource, Inc. (NASDAQ: PSRC), a global leader in mobile handset operating systems. While at PalmSource, he repositioned the company and transformed it from being a provider of proprietary operating systems to a leadership position in providing open source based Linux operating systems for mobile phones. He led the company through a competitive bidding process, which resulted in the company’s acquisition by ACCESS Company, Ltd. He also served as the CEO of Aliph Corporation, a developer of next-generation audio and speech technologies for mobile communications devices. As founder, Chairman, and CEO of OmniSky Corporation, McVeigh led the development and execution of a service launch that provided wireless data services to carriers such as AT&T Wireless and Verizon within one year of the founding of the business. He raised over $250MM in funding through private offerings and a successful IPO, and subsequently sold the business to Earthlink. Prior to that, he served in a variety of executive sales and marketing roles at both Palm Inc. and Apple Computer.
