Patrick Ho is business group president for Epoxy & Specialty Chemicals. He is also a member of the Management Committee and the Business Operations Committee.
Ho joined Dow in Hong Kong in 1978. After several production assignments in the Tsing Yi Polystyrene plant in Hong Kong, he was named plant manager in 1985, and subsequently regional manufacturing manager, Asia region. In 1987, he was appointed superintendent of the Polystyrene plant in Sarnia, Canada and later transferred to Taipei, Taiwan as manufacturing operations manager.
In 1993, Ho became group marketing manager for Polystyrene and Polyolefins for Dow Pacific. He was named global business manager for Polyurethanes in 1995 and relocated to the company’s headquarters in Midland, Michigan, U.S.A. He was appointed global business director for Ethylene Oxide, Propylene Oxide and Derivatives in Chemicals and Metals in 1997. Ho was named president of Dow Pacific in August, 1998 and relocated to Hong Kong. In January, 2004, he was appointed global business vice president for Dow Epoxy. Ho assumed his current position in March 2007.
