Patrick Doran is a senior level executive recognized for skill at creating and implementing strong operational and financial structures that result in increased efficiencies, improved operating margins, and tightened internal and external controls. He is a CPA with over 24 years of diversified experience in major corporations. Selected repeatedly to lead new initiatives or provide expertise on critical missions, Mr. Doran has just completed a successful transition of College Television Network (CTN) into MTV/Viacom. Mr. Doran was retained by MTV Networks post acquisition as Senior Vice-President-CTN Operations and Finance. Mr. Doran was also chosen by CTN’s Board of Directors to spearhead administration of the wind down of the Company. He has held many titles at CTN Media Group, Inc., the owner of CTN, since joining the Company in 1997, including President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Secretary. CTN Media Group was a public company trading under the symbol UCTN. Mr. Doran served as the Vice-President Operations and Planning for Turner Pictures Worldwide Distribution, a division of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. from January 1994 until June 1997, and served as Vice President-Group Controller for the Syndication and Licensing group of Turner Broadcasting from September 1987 until December 1993. Mr. Doran is credited with the successful relocation and staffing of Turner Entertainment Company from Los Angeles to CNN’s headquarters in Atlanta following Turner’s acquisition of the MGM film library. He was also chosen as one of Turner’s principal executives involved in the due diligence and acquisition of the Hanna Barbara Studios and library. Prior to joining Turner Broadcasting, Mr. Doran held various managerial and executive positions at Columbia Pictures and MGM Studios. |
