Mr. Brant is president and CEO of SkyPort. A global leader in communications, he has more than 20 years’ high technology experience in management, sales, operations and finance. He leads SkyPort with a clear focus on excellence, commitment, and growth. His latest success was Loral Skynet, a satellite operating firm that provides managed network services to Fortune 1000 enterprises. As the president and CEO he led Loral Skynet out of Chapter 11, improved EBITDA 8 fold, increased Skynet’s valuation to over $800 million and orchestrated the purchase of Telesat for $3 billion. Before joining Loral Skynet, Pat served as president of Controlsat and as a senior director for Orbital Communications, the first provider of global data services via low earth orbit (LEO) satellites. At Controlsat, an Orbital global data services business unit, he crafted and implemented the company’s business plan and oversaw the development of the marketing, international sales, customer service and operational infrastructure. Pat has also held senior positions with Eyretel and American Mobile Satellite (AMSC). As vice president of sales and marketing at Eyretel, he increased profitability by 202% by spearheading efforts to expand sales and marketing operations for voice and data products, and ramp up sales with an aggressive marketing and indirect distribution strategy. As general manager at American Mobile Satellite, Pat designed and directed sales and marketing strategies for innovative mobile voice and data products. He also developed AMSC’s first service network business plan that resulted in orders for over 10,000 data terminals worth more than $50 million and a successful IPO. |
