Description of Practice:
Patrick J. Grady is a partner in the firm's Orange County office where he practices employment law. Skilled in the legal intricacies of this field, Mr. Grady represents employers in all aspects of trial and appellate "wrongful discharge" and employment litigation; unfair labor practice and representation proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board; collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration. In addition, Mr. Grady has vast experience in preventative counseling, grievance and arbitration proceedings, strikes and picketing, wage and hour government audits and compliance matters, and preparation of employment contracts and separation agreements.
Looked to for his wide array of knowledge on employment matters, Mr. Grady has lectured and written extensively on such topics as sexual harassment, wrongful termination, invasion of privacy issues and discrimination. Mr. Grady has also been involved in various legislative activities on behalf of employers to amend California's wage and hour and independent contractor laws. Mr. Grady is a member of the Labor Law Section of both the Orange County Bar Association and the American Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and all California state courts.
Educational History:
A graduate with Great Distinction from California State University at Long Beach with a B.S. in business administration, Mr. Grady earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1984. Mr. Grady has also passed all four parts of the Certified Public Accountant's exam. |
