Mr. McGarey joined the Company in August 2007 and has over 27 years of experience in the oil and gas industry including more than 22 years in energy-related finance. From 2004 - 2007 Mr. McGarey served as Executive Vice President Finance Planning and Corporate Development (and was a co-owner) of Houston-based Goldking Energy Corporation. This company was sold in May 2007 for total consideration of $328.5 million. For several years prior to joining Goldking Mr. McGarey owned and managed a small firm which specialized in arranging debt providing advisory services and facilitating the purchase and sale of energy assets. Before this Mr. McGarey was employed by The Williams Companies Union Bank of California Huntington National Bank and Texaco. Mr. McGarey holds BS in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA in Finance from Loyola Marymount University. |
