Experience:
Most recently, Mr. McCartney has represented leading corporate and municipal trustees in the United States banking industry. He has represented financial institutions acting as corporate trustees and in other fiduciary capacities in corporate domestic and global financings, and municipal financings. He has also represented indenture trustees in default administration and workout situations.
Mr. McCartney has also represented numerous foreign and domestic banks and financial institutions in various types of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured loans, syndicated and single bank financings, mezzanine financings, and all types of loans to middle market companies. In addition, he has developed extensive experience in all types of real estate finance transactions, including loans to finance acquisitions and construction and redevelopment of office buildings, hotels, shopping centers, and mixed use facilities located nationwide and in the New York metropolitan area.
Mr. McCartney has also represented owners and developers of real estate in the acquisition, disposition, leasing and management of various properties. He has often represented financial institutions involved in loan restructurings and workouts of secured and unsecured debt to public and private companies. His workout experience extends to the restructuring of real estate loans and the enforcement of lenders' rights including foreclosures, suits on guaranties and negotiation of deed in lieu agreements.
