Pat Callahan, Executive Vice President and head of Compliance and Enterprise Risk management, assumed her role in June 2005. The Group provides regulatory compliance oversight for the corporation and corporate support for operations risk analysis and control , including BSA activities. She also heads the company's Enterprise Risk Management Committee, comprised of senior business heads who discuss and decide on risk-related issues affecting the corporation.
A 28-year veteran of the company, Callahan was the Director of Human Resources since the Wells Fargo-Norwest merger in 1998. Previously, she was head of Wholesale Banking Systems, Finance and Operations beginning July 1997 and was EVP and Director of Human Resources from 1993 to 1997.
Callahan began her banking career at Crocker National Bank in 1977 and held various management positions in the operations and finance areas. In 1984, she was promoted to Senior Vice President and Manager of Corporate Services. When Crocker merged with Wells Fargo, she became Division Manager of Wholesale Operations and Systems and served on the company’s Corporate Responsibility Committee. In 1991, she assumed responsibility for systems, operations and finance for the Real Estate Group.
She graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she earned her B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and her M.S. degree in management/finance.
Callahan is a member of the Bay Area United Way Board of Directors and a Trustee of Dominican University in San Rafael. She is on the MIT Corporation Development Committee. |
