Patricia Coleman's practice focuses on the defense of product liability, breach of warranty, class action, franchise and general liability cases. Additionally, Ms. Coleman has represented automotive manufacturers in individual and class action suits brought under California Business and Professions Code section 17200, alleging false or deceptive practices, and other statutory consumer acts.
She has defended American, Japanese and Korean automotive corporations and individuals. Her product, warranty, consumer and class action matters often involve components or systems such as brakes, transmission, fuel delivery/integrity, restraints (including air bags) and stability/rollover.
Ms. Coleman has served as a court appointed mediator and arbitrator of the Los Angeles County Courts for several years. Prior to joining Dykema Gossett, Ms. Coleman was a partner in a California based law firm and more recently in Michigan based Feeney Kellett Wienner & Bush.
