Ms. Bedient was appointed to the Board of Directors in December 2004. She serves as the Chair of the Company’s Audit Committee and on the Board of Directors of Alaska Airlines. Ms. Bedient is Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategic Planning for Weyerhaeuser, one of the world’s largest integrated forest products companies. A certified public accountant, she served as the managing partner of Arthur Andersen LLP’s Seattle office prior to joining Weyerhaeuser. Ms. Bedient also worked at the firm’s Portland and Boise offices as a partner and as a CPA during her 27-year career with Andersen. Ms. Bedient is on the Weyerhaeuser Foundation Board and the advisory board of the University of Washington School of Business. She has also served on the boards of a variety of civic organizations, including the Oregon State University Foundation Board of Trustees, the World Forestry Center, the City Club of Portland, St. Mary’s Academy of Portland and the Chamber of Commerce of Boise, Idaho. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Washington Society of CPAs. |
