Patricia C. Vaughan joined the Population Council in 1997 as general counsel and was appointed corporate secretary in 2006. Vaughan is responsible for the management of the Council’s legal affairs and is involved in the management of the Council’s business relationships with the pharmaceutical industry. Vaughan’s substantive areas of practice include intellectual property, licensing, contracts, employment, research integrity, not-for-profit, international, and corporate governance. Prior to joining the Council, Vaughan was the general counsel of the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.
Vaughan is an adjunct lecturer at the State University of New York at Purchase, a member of the board of directors of Literacy Volunteers of Westchester County, New York, and a trustee of the South Mountain Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Maplewood, New Jersey. She received her A.B. from Princeton University in public and international affairs and her Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. |
