As vice president of Regulatory Affairs and Strategic Planning, Pamela Lesh is responsible for all federal and state regulatory matters related to PGE.
Lesh joined PGE in 1986 as assistant general counsel. She served as vice president of Rates and Regulatory Affairs from 1996 to 1997. In 1997, she left PGE to take a position at ConneXt, Inc. in Seattle, Wash., and returned to her post as vice president in December 1999.
Lesh is responsible for PGE's retail rates, tariffs, pricing, revenue requirements and PGE's relationship with the Oregon Public Utility Commission. She also manages PGE's wholesale power and transmission tariffs, regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and is PGE's FERC Chief Compliance Officer. In 2004, she became responsible for overseeing strategic planning initiatives for the company.
After earning a juris doctor degree in 1981 from the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle, Lesh worked as an associate at several Seattle law firms, practicing in the fields of trusts and estates, taxation and employment discrimination. She also has experience in regulatory and administrative law, with a focus on natural gas and electric energy. Lesh is a 1978 graduate of Washington State University in Pullman, Wash., and earned a bachelor's degree in political science.
Lesh enjoys hiking, reading and building with Legos with her son. She serves on the board of Volunteers of America and is a member of the American Leadership Forum and the City Club of Portland. She is also a former member of the Oregon Humane Society's board of governors. |
