Ms. Lescure practiced international banking law for two years with an international law firm in New York City and worked as a volunteer patient rights advocate for the mentally disabled. In addition to her law practice, Ms. Lescure has served as adjunct professor in bioethics at Goucher College in Maryland. Her clients include hospitals, nursing homes, continuing care retirement communities, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, DME suppliers, physician groups and other health care providers. Practice areas include state and federal regulatory compliance (including health planning, licensing, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, fraud and abuse and Stark II), medical staff matters, medical records use and disclosure (including HIPAA regulation), consent and health care decision-making issues and bioethics.
