Pablo Lagos is President and General Manager of PBG Mexico, a position to which he was appointed in June 2006. Prior to his current position, he served as Chief Operating Officer of PBG Mexico.
Mr. Lagos began his career with Pepsi-Cola International in the Latin American beverage business in 1983. He progressed through increasingly responsible positions in Mexico and key Latin American countries and, in 1991, joined the leadership team of Frito Lay International’s Gamesa business in Mexico . He was responsible for restructuring Gamesa's supply chain. Mr. Lagos then served as Gamesa’s National Sales Vice President.
In 1996, he was named President of Frito Lay International in Chile , where he orchestrated strategic business acquisitions. In 2001, his responsibilities were expanded to include the businesses in Peru and Ecuador. The following year, he returned to his native Mexico as Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations for Sabritas. Mr. Lagos was named Chief Operating Officer of PBG Mexico in November 2003.
Prior to his PepsiCo tenure, Mr. Lagos worked with McKinsey & Company. Mr. Lagos serves as Vice President of the Mexican National Bottlers Association (ANPRAC).
Mr. Lagos holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and systems engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico. He also earned Master of Science degrees in both industrial engineering and operations research, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree, from Stanford University . |
