Dr. Orion Colfer serves as the Director at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York. Dr. Colfer joined EMP in January of 2002 as an Emergency Physician at Albany Memorial Hospital in Albany, New York. Prior to joining EMP, Dr. Colfer worked at the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he was a staff emergency physician.
Dr. Colfer completed his undergraduate education at Siena College in Loudonville, New York where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. Orion completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia where he was Chief Resident.
Dr. Colfer is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is a member of the American College Emergency Physicians. Dr. Colfer is certified and an instructor in Advanced Trauma Life Support. Dr. Colfer completed the EMP Scholars Program in 2003. |
