Oliver Nicklin is president of First Analysis. He coordinates private equity and venture capital investing and provides firm oversight. Prior to founding First Analysis in 1981, he served 12 years with William Blair & Co., an investment bank, brokerage, and research firm in Chicago. His positions included chief operating partner, director of research, and investment analyst. Earlier, he provided strategic planning and European project evaluations for Amoco Corp. and Exxon Corp. He serves on the boards of the First Analysis Institute of Integrative Studies, Field Foundation of Illinois, Finance Council of the Archdiocese of Chicago, and the Visiting Committee for University of Chicago’s Divinity School. He earned an MBA from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas. He holds the CFA charter. |
