Mr. Franklin has an extensive record of public service, highlighted by his tenure as the Deputy City Representative for the City of Philadelphia, where he created the Office of Arts and Culture and doubled municipal arts funding. He is the co-founder and president of Reinvest In South Africa (RISA) Investment Advisors, LLC. He also serves as a trustee of the Rosenbach Museum and Library, the South African Environmental Trust, the International House of Philadelphia, and the Sir Hans Koopler Trust in New York and London. He is a member of the Bank of America Philadelphia Advisory Board and serves as president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Oxford & Cambridge Society. The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce also appointed Oliver Franklin to the Foundation's Board. Mr. Franklin has also served as the Philadelphia's Chief of Protocol and created Philadelphia's international marketing efforts. Mr. Franklin was a senior vice president with Boston's Fidelity Management Trust Co. In January 2002, Oliver received the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) commendation for exceptional achievement. He is also the Honorary British Consul in Philadelphia. |
