Oliver F. Ames, Jr. is a partner whose practice is concentrated in the areas of trusts & estates and exempt organizations. Mr. Ames' practice focuses on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and exempt organization matters. In addition to having extensive experience with probate law and gift and estate tax issues, Mr. Ames frequently handles real estate and corporate matters as they relate to clients' estate planning needs. Mr. Ames is admitted to practice in Massachusetts. Mr. Ames is a member of the American and Boston Bar Associations and serves as a director and/or officer of several local charitable organizations. He is also a co-author of Massachusetts Nonprofit Organizations and Trust Drafting with the Experts, published by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), and has participated as a speaker or panelist for MCLE and other organizations. Prior to joining Casner & Edwards, LLP, Mr. Ames was a partner at Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston. He received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was also a Morehead Scholar, and he received his law degree from Boston College Law School. |
