Norman Alpert's practice includes acquisitions and divestitures, public and private equity and debt offerings (including initial public offerings and high-yield bond offerings), bank financings, joint ventures, and venture capital and other commercial transactions. He has represented public companies and individuals in their federal securities law reporting and compliance matters. In his more than 30 years of practice, he has advised companies in the telecommunications, biotechnology, semiconductor equipment, medical equipment, specialty chemicals, retail, and consumer products industries, as well as private equity funds. Mr. Alpert graduated magna cum laude from Yeshiva University in 1970 and cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1973. He joined Friedman Kaplan from the New York office of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, where he was of counsel. Previously he was a partner at Rubin Baum Levin Constant & Friedman. |
