Nitin Mehta is Chairman and CEO of Mehta & Company, Inc., a merchant banking and investment company he founded in 1988. Earlier, Nitin was a General Partner at Weiss, Peck & Greer Venture Partners. He was also with McKinsey & Company for several years. Recently, Nitin was a Senior Executive in charge of M&A with QuadraMed Corporation, a public company. Prior to that, he was CEO and Chairman of Pyramid Health Group, Inc., a fast-growing, venture-backed company. He was Senior Vice President of Operations for Royal Viking Line, a premier cruise line company where he and his partner led a $250 million LBO. Nitin was an investor and Board member of Fiberplastics, Inc., a $70 million manufacturer, which he successfully turned around with the founding partners and sold to James River Corporation.
Nitin is currently on the Boards of Health+Cast, Mindcrossing.com, Compex Legal Services, Izahi Corp, OptaPhone Corp, University Access, and SchoolCity.com. He has served on the Boards of two nonprofit organizations: Fort Mason Center Foundation and the San Francisco Zoo.
Mr. Mehta holds a BSME summa cum laude from S.D. Tech, an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, and a Doctorate in Business Policy from the Harvard Business School. |
