Possessing deep experience in network engineering, security and software development, Nikos Mouat is well known in the industry for his technical expertise and his ability to provide the highest levels of customer service. His distinguished career includes tenures at such distinguished companies as: Bell Northern Research programming Northern Telecom's DMS series of telephone switches; Interconnected Associates (IXA), as Chief Technical Officer, which grew to become the preferred Internet Backbone company for many of the northwest's web-centric startups such as Amazon, Infospace, Photodisc, and Pointshare; Conjungi Networks, a leading Northwest security consulting firm where he provided firewall, VPN, and advanced networking services to some of the Northwest's leading technology companies; Darwin Networks, a broadband service provider; and his own consulting practice which includes such high profile firms as Infospace.com, iShip.com, Edgar Online, Belo and Vulcan Northwest. Most recently he was engaged as CTO of Crossport Systems, a broadband firewall and services company which was merged into Lineo. At Crossport, Mr. Mouat provided the technology foundation of their product line. In addition, Mr. Mouat co-founded and remains a Board member to the Seattle Internet Exchange (SIX) through which much of the regional Internet traffic moves. Nikos Mouat was named to the 2000 "Top 40 under 40" list published by the Seattle Business Journal. He studied computer science and engineering at the University of Waterloo in southern Ontario, Canada. |
