As Chief Information Officer, Nikolai is adept at keeping more than 1,000 individual users happy with Switchfast’s hosted server environment. Among the elated is an insurance broker that had him migrate its 150-node network to an entirely new hardware platform while creating a new domain and bringing the company’s remote Exchange environment in-house. With experience steeped in real world design, Nikolai tripled the user capacity of a mortgage broker's IL network environment. His work not done there, Nikolai designed a CA network environment from scratch and linked two offices across the country to function as one. A well-respected leader, Nikolai headed up the migration team responsible for converting a financial institution’s 75-node NT network to a new Windows 2003 domain. In addition to building and migrating networks, he manages support for many of the 20- to 50+ node networks designed and maintained by Switchfast. Nikolai graduated from the University of Michigan and received a Master’s degree from the University of Chicago. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. |
