Experience:
Nigel White is a partner in Mayer Brown’s London Office Finance group. He acts for banks, financial institutions, other lenders, and borrowers on a wide range of domestic and international finance transactions.
Nigel particularly focuses his practice on structured real estate investment and development finance (both origination and subsequent distribution). In addition, he advises clients regarding the financing of corporate acquisitions and disposals, and general corporate syndicated lending transactions.
In 2005, Nigel was recognised by The Legal 500 as having experience across a variety of property, project and acquisition finance work. He joined Mayer Brown in 1991 and was named Partner in 1996.

Advising Merrill Lynch on investment and development facilities in Germany and the United Kingdom.
Acting for Nationwide Building Society on numerous real estate finance transactions in England and Wales, Germany, and France.
Representing Allied Irish Banks (London and Dublin) on various syndicated structured finance transactions.
Advising on the use of overriding lease/financial institution guaranteed lease structures to enhance value on real estate investment deals.
Advising on tax-efficient structures on investment finance transactions (including the use of JPUT structures, Islamic compliant structures and other arrangements to optimise tax savings).
Acting for the agent and security trustee on facilities to refinance the acquisition and initial transaction costs for The Shard development.
Acting for Permission plc on its £800 million debt facilities in connection with the acquisition of Westbury plc.
Acting for the Galen Weston bid vehicle on the financing of the acquisition of Selfridges plc.
Acting for The Royal Bank of Scotland plc on various real estate finance transactions (particularly in the leisure sector), such as facilities for Aspinalls Clubs, Soho House and Extreme Cool Ski Slopes.
